1) There's no chaos like creative chaos.
That is until you can't find anything anymore. Then it's bad.
2) Hauling out 10 years worth of excess paper and art supplies is traumatizing. So is getting rid of artwork that dates as far back as high school because you can't possibly keep everything you create unless you want to be on an episode of Hoarders. I know, I know – Time. Energy. Tender love and care. Forget that! It's cleansing and time to create something new. Be excited.
3) I just dealt with 1) & 2). There may have been tears. But wow am I ever stoked to start actually painting and illustrating again.
Soooo that being said, artists like Audrey Kawasaki are totally inspiring me right now. She has such a beautiful style and an intriguing way of modifying form. Here are some of my faves. Website and an interview after the jump. Enjoy.
